The Fighting Temeraire, (Also Known As The Fighting Temerairetugged To Her Last Berth To Be Broken Up, 1838) By Joseph William Turner Was Completed In 1838 And Was Exhibited In The Royal Academy A Year Later. The Painting Features The Hms Temeraire And Its Last Second-Rate Ships Being Towed By A Steam Tug Boat Up The Thames. This Was The Final Trip For This Extraordinary Ship That Fought During The Napoleonic Wars. Once Docked, The Ship Was Broken Up For Scrap. In 2005, This Breath-Taking Painting Was Voted As Being England’S Most Favorite Painting, And In 2020 It Was Added To England’S 20-Pound Note.
