Frederick Arthur Bridgman Was An American Artist From Tuskegee, Alabama And Studied Art In New York. He Later Moved To Paris Where He Was Influenced By The Artist, Jean-Leon Gerome, Who’S Art Inspired Much Of Bridgman’S “Oriental” Type Paintings. Bridgman’S Work, However, Used Many Bright Colors And High Contrast Darks And Lights, And A Technique That Was More Painterly, Showing Textures And Strokes. The Bathing Cove Is A Good Example Of This.
