The Dancers Themselves Take Up Virtually The Entire Canvas In This Carefully Executed Recreation. This Was One Of Degas’ Favorite Themes And He Depicted It Many Times Over, Reflecting The Dancers’ Athleticism, Passion And Tension. The Movements Of These Dancers Are Rendered With Such Specificity That It Begs The Question Whether It Is Multiple Dancers Or Simply One In Motion.
