Pond In The Woods By Albrecht Durer Was Originally Painted In 1496 With Watercolour Depicts Pine Trees Around A Pond, Thought To Be Near Nuremberg, Rendered With Painstaking Detail. The Water Seems To Stretch Out Far Into The Distance. Colors Delicately Changing From Deep Blue To Brown With The Setting Sun Reflecting Back On The Water. This Sketch Was Hidden For Centuries But Recently Discovered On The Reverse Of Another Work. It Had Been Stuck Into An Album Of Drawings Which Had Been Presented To The British Museum. It Was Not Till 1970 That The Watercolour Was Removed From The Album And Sketch Was Found On The Reverse. Parts Of The Picture Have Been Left Unfinished, It Seems Durer May Have Changed His Mind As The Evening Sky Depicted Is Similar To Another Painting.
